Finance & Insurance

We receive many questions about insurance for fetes and other P&F events.

Most are about rides, outside stall holders and public liability insurance.

Before any event you should ALWAYS check with the school’s insurer to ensure that you are covered for the event and to check insurance requirements for outside stall holders or contractors. Stall holders from outside the school will usually be required to have their own public liability insurance and the P&F should see their documentation.

Catholic Church Insurance is an expert in this field and provides good resources for this purpose. Below are links to a Checklist and a Factsheet on Event Management that will be useful to all P&Fs.

Treasurers' Manual

The Treasurers' Manual describes the accounting principles and practices that should be followed by P&F treasurers and executive members. If you have any questions or comments about the manual please contact the Federation office.

Please note that in some Diocese,  P & F funds are the responsibility of the school and these schools also have  developed responding processes to their P & F.
