CSPQ is again awarding grants up to the value of $2,500 each in 2025. Catholic schools, or clusters of schools, in collaboration with their parent body, who have an outstanding idea or project to support family engagement in a school community are encouraged to apply.

Introduction
Catholic School Parents Queensland (CSPQ) sponsors and supports Family Engagement Grants on an annual basis. The chosen schools can receive up to $2,500, which represents assistance towards achieving the outcomes of their nominated project.
Schools who are developing, enhancing or improving family engagement to create a link between families and children and young people’s learning and well-being in an innovative way or have family engagement strategies as part of their annual or improvement plans are encouraged to apply.
Schools are able to join together as a cluster to seek a larger amount for a joint project.
Purpose of the Engagement Grants
These engagement grants aim to: encourage new and innovative ideas to further develop, enhance or improve family engagement in their children’s and young people’s learning and well-being in Queensland Catholic school communities.
Areas for Application
Applications may focus on one of the following in keeping with school improvement plans:
- initiating a program/activity for the development of family engagement in the school community
- further developing an existing program/activity for the development of family engagement in the school community.

Eligibility
This grant application is open to Catholic Education communities across Queensland.
The following are eligible to apply:
- Schools/Colleges
- Cluster of Schools/Colleges (Combine funds i.e. could be equal to $2500 for each school in cluster applying)
NB – Parent Bodies are not eligible to apply independently – all applications must come through the school.
It is expected that the program/activity would be completed by the end of the following calendar year, for example, 2025 grant projects to be completed by end of June 2026. The successful ideas or projects must provide sustainable benefits into the future.
Application process and endorsement
- Applications must be submitted electronically using the CSPQ Family Engagement Grants nomination form available following this information. All applications must be endorsed as requested in the application form.
- Applications need to be submitted via the web portal for the assessment panel to review.
- Applications close at 5pm on Friday 30 May 2025.
Assessment and notification
- Assessment of applications will take place in Term 2 2025.
- All applications will be considered by the assessment panel on the basis of their new and/or innovative ideas in:
- Initiating a program/activity for the development of family engagement in the school community
- Further developing an existing program/activity for the development of family engagement in the school community.
- CSPQ will acknowledge receipt of all applications.
- Successful applications will be contacted by the Executive Director of Catholic School Parents Queensland.
- All applications will receive an email from the Executive Director of Catholic School Parents Queensland. Some applications may be asked for permission to share their ideas through the CSPQ website or relevant Facebook pages.
